The artists werent professional nor were they welcoming. I was then quoted a price that was outrageous for the design I wanted. I showed the tattoo I wanted and explained I how I wanted it done. As soon as I entered the door, there were 2 gentleman at the front, both rude and unbothered by the fact that I wanted to give them business. I walked into this shop expecting a great experience, seeing as how this shop has 5 star ratings.
Im excited to come back for my next session and Im beyond impressed with his line work and shading so far: found me a shop for life!!! I recommend them to everyone I know. He really made it seem like we been friends for years! The cool thing was he educated me also about what my tattoo symbolized according to traditional Japanese ideology. On the day of my appointment he was very welcoming and really easy to conversate with even though this was officially the first time we chatted about stuff other than my tattoo. We went back and forth with perfecting the artwork prior to my set appointment and he made sure everything was not only to my liking but beyond. I wanted a custom piece and he delivered. I decided to give him a shot being that his name rung out by as many people as it did.
I was on the hunt for the best Japanese style artist I could find in Houston and (not surprised anymore) Tony, one of their artist was recommended by multiple people. Thanks to Tony and all the guys at Timeless Ink for giving me such an absolutely incredible, amazing tattoo!! I couldnt have asked for more!!!!! Would DEFINITELY recommend these guys if youre in the market for some ink - but I WILL note that being courteous, scheduling your appointment with the artist ahead of time, letting the artist know as early as possible of any changes, and showing up on time can go a LONG way in making the ultimate tattoo experience that much better!!! He got to work, and in what seemed like no time it was finished! Right out of the gun it looked AMAZING, and I was absolutely STOKED that I got a PERFECT likeness of what I wanted.to be honest, Id gone over the realities of everything in my head beforehand, and was completely ready to accept a 90% portrait - I mean, heck, it IS after all handmade - but Tony didnt let me down in the slightest and delivered what I feel is easily the best portrait Ive ever seen - and this is coming from a guy thats seen every episode of InkMaster ever!!!! Im almost a week out now, and its about healed up - Ive taken good care of it so it hasnt scabbed up or dried up at all, and it still looks every bit as amazing as it did when it was fresh.
When I arrived, I immediately noticed how nice and clean and tidy he place was, and how the shop wasnt echoing with the BRRRT BRRRRRT noise thats normal for tattoo parlours - evidently these guys all have these new state-of-the-art high-end tatooin machines that are nicer, cleaner, smoother, and quieter than the typical ink slinger would carry.new to me, and I considered myself up-to-date on the sport! Tony already had the area set up and the stencil drawn out, and was ready to go. Id been following Timeless Ink on Instagram, and had seen that their artist Tony had recently done an INCREDIBLE Salvador Dali portrait - the posted photo had the portrait next to the original photo and damn if you couldnt tell them apart!!! Right then I knew that his was the guy that I wanted to tatto Marco Simoncelli on me, so I set up the appointment. This past week MotoGP retired his number in memory of him, and I felt like it would be a PERFECT time to get his likeness inked on my body. Recently had a portrait done by these guys, and let me tell you I could NOT be happier or more pleased than I am!! Ive got dozens of tattoos, and have been collecting them for well over a decade however, Ive never gotten any realistic or portrait-style ink s well known in the tattoo community that its SUPER easy to screw up a portrait, and then you end up remembering your grandfather like he had down syndrome and a lazy eye, so Ive always been leery of letting even the best celebrity artist do a portrait on me! So, anyways, Ive been big into motorcycles and motorcycle racing for as long if not longer than Ive been into tattoos, and a few years back one of my idols was killed during a MotoGP race.
